Alpine Slide

I think I already posted the pictures of Ben and Brandon on the alpine slide, but here are the adults taking their turn. My dad, Brett, Charisse, and Kailee raced down the mountain.

Here they are on the way up the mountain on the chair lift.

Kailee and Brett were the first to come down. Can you tell the winner? Yes, Kailee totally whipped Brett coming down. His excuse was he didn't know he could push himself to start down. Yeah, whatever...Kailee is the alpine slide queen! Here's Brett taking his defeat with a smile. Charisse and Dad coming down the final stretch. Who will win?
Yep, Charisse. Dad was really trying, though! The victor!High fives from the granddaughters.

Just a cute picture of Kate and Megan in front of the horses next to the alpine slide.

Hogle Zoo

We're now home from Florida so this will be the last of the Utah pics so I can get the Florida ones up. We've got some fun things to share! We've had a blast in all our travels this summer.
Here's the recount in photos of our trip to the Hogle Zoo while in Utah.

Carli and Daddy.

The drinking fountains are quite a hit with the kids and parents for some reason love taking pictures of their kids with their head in the lion's mouth. :)
Charisse and Harper. I just love the look on Charisse's face in this one.

This was a huge boa constrictor in the snake house. You can barely see it here in the picture, but Carli kept putting her hands up to the glass acting like she wanted to scoop the snake up. Too funny!

Brandon and my Grandma in the white alligator exhibit.

Everyone waiting for the bird show to start.
Here's Kate drawing a picture for Charisse in Charisse's journal. It was too cute. It ended up being a picture of Charisse and Cory on their wedding day (which isn't until September).

Here's little Harper. He's just so cute!!!!!!

My girls in red. It was a very helpful color that day!I think bald eagles are so spectacular and just beautiful creatures. The bird show was really neat to watch.
Here is the eagle with it's wings spread.

Thayne (my bro) and his son, Harper, in the white alligator house. Kailee (my sil), Harper, and Charisse
Me and Carli. She looks happy to be taking a picture with me, eh?
A shot of me and Carli again. Much better one of me, I think. :)
Kate found this little teeny green inchworm and played with it for quite a while. It was fun to watch it climb around on her hand. It's right there on her thumb.

Memories

I got this off Katri's blog. It's fun to keep memories.

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments. Not that there would be anything other, but please keep it family friendly.

Gotta get my kiddos ready to go swim! We are having a great time here in Florida with Ben's family. This afternoon is mil and sil shopping spree. We found a great mall not to far from here with 300 stores--can we say heaven?! :)

Lagoon!

We are now in Florida so I figured I really need to get all the Utah pictures up so I can get the next round of vacation pics up and not get so behind again. So, here goes!

We spent a day at Lagoon while we were staying in Park City. It was really a lot of fun. The kids all had a blast. I went on one ride and I was content with that (the swings). :) Brandon and Kate ventured to a couple of the bigger rides with Daddy. We also spent some time at the water park section and Brandon and Kate had an especially fun time with the tubes. Megan's favorite thing was all the kiddy rides. She went on most of them 3 times. Thankfully Grandma and Grandpa helped a lot getting the kids where they wanted to go.

Here's Brandon coming out of the tube slide. He did this over and over and over again.
Kate had her turn, too. I love the look on her face here. They had a blast!
Here's Kate coming out of the tube slide. She has a great look on this one, too.
Grandma and Megan getting ready to go on the train.
Carli, Ben, Kate, and Brandon saying hello from the train!
Here's Megan on the train again. I love this picture.
Kate and Carli on the swing ride. Kate was great and let Carli ride with her on most of the rides. Megan wanted to ride most rides by herself.
I love Brandon's face in this shot. He's bound and determined to get somewhere. :) He really loved the tube.
Megan riding the merry-go-round.
Grandpa and Megan riding the kid roller coaster.
Here are Kate and Grandpa on the roller coaster. My Dad said he had a ringing in his ears after this ride. He had this screaming giggling girl riding next to him. ;)
Carli was exhausted!
Carli and Megan enjoying the boat ride. Carli kept her hand on that bell the entire ride! This was their first ride. Carli had this face the entire time. I guess she wasn't so sure if she was enjoying it or not. LOL!
Kate sure enjoyed it, though!
Megan had a blast, too!
I thought this was so cute of Brandon and Kate, like a little old couple going for a drive.

Day at Grandpa's farm

Before we left Utah we took the kids to watch my Grandpa work on his farm. It was a neat morning! The kids watched him bail some hay and then they had fun watching the prairie dogs in the field. There were mounds everywhere and it's against the law to kill them. Ugh. They are quite the pain on the farm. Here are some cute pictures from the day! (Brandon stayed in the car playing his Gameboy--stinker)

Kate and Carli on the tractor

Grandpa starting the tractor.Megan and Carli watching the bails come out of the bailer.
A neat shot of the old sprinklers in the field.
Carli watching for a prairie dog to come out of his hole.
You can see the little guys poking up around the field. We walked closer and they all disappeared. It was quite fun to watch them.Grandpa and my cousin Jackson.
