Fun Read!

This month for one of my book clubs we read Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder by Joanne Fluke. It's the first in a series of Hannah Swensen Mysteries (she's the main character). It was totally fun, light, and kept you guessing until the end. I loved it and want to read more of the series now and it doesn't hurt that they are all very "sweet." LOL! The next one is Strawberry Shortcake Murder followed by Blueberry Muffin Murder, Lemon Meringue Murder, Fudge Cupcake Murder, Sugar Cookie Murder, Peach Cobbler Murder, and Cherry Cheesecake Murder. How fun is that?! There's even a new one coming out early next year so Fluke is still writing them.
They also include recipes talked about in the books so last night we all brought treats from the book and they were SO yummy. The main character, Hannah, owns a little bakery called The Cookie Jar and seems to have a knack for finding murder victims and then helps to solve the mysteries. If you want something light, fun, and easy to read, check these books out!

Crazy Hair and Halloween

Last week was Red Ribbon week at school. Brandon was especially looking forward to Crazy Hair Day. We spiked it, but it was too bad we didn't have any color (we'll have to do that next year). Usually his hair is just flat and normal so this is crazy for him.

Megan's hair aws fun, too. She loved it. :) Kate didn't have time to do much so no pics of her. She just put it in a side ponytail (funny how the 80s hair is "crazy" now. lol!)

Halloween!!!

Halloween was fun this year. The kids all had fun costumes and we did a variety of activities. We started out carving pumpkins the weekend before:

Then the day of we went around to the houses on our street before we headed to the trunk or treat at the church. When we got home our neighbors were having a party for everyone and had lots of fun games for the kids and such. It was kind of a late night, but the kids had a blast! Brandon was not wanting his picture taken at all so there are very few of him...
